Cars Canada For Sale Ontario Bans Cell Phone While Driving

Ontario Residents Beware!

Ontario’s ban on hand-held devices while driving will take effect on October 26, 2009.

The new law will make it illegal for drivers to talk, text, type, dial or email using hand-held cell phones and other hand-held communications and entertainment devices.

Once the new law is in place, drivers who text, type, email, dial or chat using any hand-held device will face fines of up to $500 upon conviction.

Hands-free used will still be permitted and you will not risk a fine.
