Canadian Soldiers Won’t Let Amputations Slow Them Down

CTVs W5 aired a story about two wounded Canadian Forces soldiers, Master Corporal Jody Mitic and Corporal Andrew Kinsley who competed in Targa Newfoundland — a huge road rally — against experienced race drivers.

Between these two guys they have three arms and a leg, a result of injuries they sustained while in Afghanistan. Despite their injuries and the fact that this was the duos first rally they finished 7th in the Modern division (in an Acura TL sponsored by the Acura Dealers of Canada).

Their goal was to raise $150,000 for the Soldier On Fund. Soldier On was created to help ill and injured Canadian Forces veterans improve their quality of life through sports, fitness and peer interaction. To date, almost $80,000 has been raised for the program.
